About International Women's Day:

it is worth mentioning that the theme of International Women's Day for 2023 was “Gender Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow". This comes to encourage girls and women who lead the mission of adapting to, mitigating and responding to climate change in order to build a more sustainable future. This topic is for admitting that women are more affected by climate change than men, for they constitute the majority of the poor people in the world who depend more on nature.

Women's International Day is an international celebration of women's efforts and effective roles in the different fields of life. On this day, the world expresses love and appreciation for women in their different roles in our life, and the great and prominent social, political, and economic achievements they have been accomplishing in international society. This day is aimed at breaking discrimination and acknowledging all efforts made by women in all fields of life.

The celebration of International Women's Day takes place on the eighth of March every year. In 1975, the United Nations decided to celebrate this day and choose a different theme for it every year. In 1976, the first theme was “Celebrating the Past and Planning for the Future".
